marcus
Marcus is a master of his musical craft: he’s a graduate of the Elder Conservatorium of Music jazz program, and a full-time professional musician for over 9 years. Marcus is in high demand and it’s easy to see why.
His experience
If you’re looking for someone to entertain your crowd and get the dancefloor started, Marcus is your man. He’s also known to kick back acoustically as a sideman with his hypnotic harmonies. Marcus has performed in ensembles right across Adelaide, toured his own show ‘Feelin Groovy – The Songs of Simon and Garfunkel’, and has worked on countless Fringe projects. Reading the room and adding the right atmosphere is where Marcus shines.
While he specialises in vintage pop/rock (think The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys) Marcus’ repertoire ranges from the 60’s to today, with something to cater for every crowd.
His beginnings
Marcus has been strumming a guitar and shaking a maraca since the early age of two. His parents, noticing his talent and interest, enrolled him in piano lessons when he was five.
Marcus’ love of music was no coincidence; his dad, a musician by trade, was a big influence and gave him the guidance he needed to keep learning and growing his musical abilities.
With over 20 years’ experience making music, and nine years working as a full-time musician for a variety of events, Marcus has certainly mastered his craft.
